Acceptance and Love - Fellowship 2

This is part 2 of 4 in a series on fellowship. In this episode, Dick expounds two expressions of what fellowship looks like in practice: acceptance and love. Acceptance of others mirrors the way Jesus doesn't expect us to transform ourselves before coming into relationship with Him. We are called to identify with their humanity, approving them while not affirming their sin. Love reflects the way we love God, fervently, specifically, attentively. We seek and work toward the best of others, looking for the tangible evidence of love in our lives displayed by the charactistics of love in 1 Corinthians 13.

Manifesting Trinitarian Love - Fellowship 1

This is part 1 of a 4 part series on Fellowship. Dick teaches how people fundamentally need comfort & encouragement in Christ, a response to their communicated needs, fellowship of the spirit, affection, and mercy & compassion to have the benefits of biblical fellowship. The primary inspiration for how fellowship is done is the perfect fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and we can learn from relationships in the bible that were broken and redeemed by Jesus' saving grace.

This is part 5 of a 5 part series about King David’s life. Dick teaches how the disciples waited for the gift from God after Jesus’ ascension even when not understanding what it meant. Dick points out scripture of God’s desire to empower his followers to express his power and love through the gifting of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Dick empresses that humility, desire, and obedience are the traits the Lord wants to develop in His followers so that empowerment does not lead to a haughty heart.
